Visvadeep marked a transition in leadership with the official installation of Rev. Fr. Varghese Kapplikunnel as the new Rector during an evening ceremony officiated by Rev. Fr. Provincial.
The solemn event brought together Salesian leadership, staff, and representatives from neighbouring institutions, including Kristu Jyoti College (KJC), Don Bosco College, and Don Bosco Mitra School. Visvadeep students coordinated the chapel arrangements and led the liturgical choir.
In his installation address, Fr. Provincial outlined the vital responsibilities of the office, underscoring the rector’s role as the animating centre of community and institutional life. He commended Fr. Varghese for undertaking the stewardship of the institute and assured him of continued support. Fr. Provincial also expressed deep appreciation to the outgoing Rector, Rev. Fr. Alex Kalathikattil, recognizing his six years of dedicated service and leadership.
The ceremony was followed by a formal felicitation by the community and a fellowship dinner in honour of the incoming Rector.
